Chelsea
have joined Arsenal in the race to sing Udinese midfielder Allan Marques
Loureiro, according to several reports.
The
Metro reported that Premier League leaders Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Allan
Marques Loureiro who has also been targeted by other top European sides inducing
Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea
already have several Brazilian stars namely Ramires, Oscar and Willian and could add another Brazilian talent in the summer window.
Jose
Mourinho currently has Nemanja Matic, Ramires and John Obi Mikel for the
holding midfield position and adding another midfielder could mean a departure
of veteran Mikel who has been struggling since the start of the season.
The
24-year-old has been displaying an exceptional game since the start of the
season. He has been a regular starter for the Serie A side.
His
current contract will expire next year and the player has no plans to sign any
new deal if a top European club show further interest in him.
The
player who has played 64 league games since his move from Deportivo Maldonado could
be available for 10 million pounds.
While
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also keeping tabs on the situation as the Frenchman is keen to bolster his midfield in the summer.
