Arsenal
are set to sign Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal in the coming days as the
player was not included in tonight’s clash between Villarreal and Levante.
Paulista
is neither suspended nor has an injury issue which clearly hints a move away
from the La Liga side.
The
24-year-old has played all the La Liga games for Villarreal this season but will
miss his first game tonight.
The
reports strongly claim that the move is very close to completion, the Brazilian
will be moving to London in the coming days.
The
transfer fee in still not confirmed, however reports believe that it is around his
buyout clause which is £15 million.
Arsenal manager Arsène
Wenger has also hinted his move in Diamond Club Q&A that he is on his way
to Emirates, the only problem is of work permit.
Per
Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Calum Chambers are the only centre-back
present in the Gunner’s squad, Paulista would be a great addition as they look
to strengthen their defence.
Paulista
is yet to feature for Brazil senior side, but is now hoping to get a call after
his impressive displays for the Spanish side.
