Liverpool
striker Fabio Borini is expected to leave the club this summer as his agent
confirmed interest from several sides.
Borini
who was signed few years ago by Brendan Rodgers failed to shine at Anfield. He
spent 2013-2014 season on loan at Sunderland but despite of performing there he
failed to make an impact at Liverpool in the recent season.
The 24 year old scored a goal in 14 appearances in all competitions.
Also, Liverpool
have already agreed to sign Danny Ings from Burnley and now will be looking to
offload several of players.
Borini's agent Marco de Machi told Calciomercato that
there are several English, German and Spanish clubs who have contact him for
his client’s move.
Reports
have linked him with a move to Serie A sides Lazio or Torino, however his agent further
revealed that there is no such interest and they have not contacted him.
Borini
had the chance to play regular football last year when Sunderland offered him a
permanent contract, but the Italian wanted to stay and prove himself at
Liverpool.
The
Italian has a year left on his contract and Liverpool will be planning to sell
him this summer else his price will fell down further or he may leave on a free
transfer next summer.
