As
the World Cup is reaching its climax, Premier League clubs are in full flow in
the transfer market. While it has been only 8 days since the transfer window is
officially open, Chelsea are the top spenders with Manchester United on 2nd
and Liverpool on 3rd. While Chelsea have spent 62million pounds so
far, Man United are not far behind as they have splashed off 59million pounds.
Here we look at the recent transfer rumors surrounding the Premier League
giants.
Arturo Vidal to Manchester United:
According
to reports from various media outlets, Louis Van Gaal is confident of landing
the Chilean after the World Cup ends. While Vidal performances in the World Cup
has increased his worth, Manchester United may offer unsettled Luis Nani to the
Italian giants Juventus. The 27 year old had a solid season under his belt last
season as he scored 11 and created 5 for the Italian Champions. With 4 Serie A
title and 1 Juventus Player of the season badge of honours under his belt, the
Chilean is the perfect answer to Manchester United midfield woes.
Sanchez to Arsenal:
For
a transfer that was highlighted by the Suarez saga to opposite direction,
Liverpool are known to have fell short in pursuing the transfer of Chilean as
he has reportedly chosen Arsenal as the likely destination. While Arsene Wenger
is still enjoying on the Brazilian beaches amid the World Cup storm, it seems
it is the remaining boardroom staff that are busy in the transfer market.
Sanchez who has scored 19 goals for Barcelona last season was deemed surplus by
the Catalan giants as the imminent Suarez arrival left no place for him. He
seemed to be nearing a move to Barcelona for a fee in the region of 32million
pounds.
Felipe Luis move stalls to Chelsea:
According
to Marca.com, Felipe Luis move has stalled due to a clause in the Brazilian
contract at the Spanish Champions. Chelsea reportedly made an initial bid of
24million euros for the Brazilian left out of the World Cup squad, but Atletico
who feel they are well suited to make negotiations has made clear that Luis has
a buyout clause of 24million Euros. Chelsea have known to back down.
Markovic to Liverpool:
In what could be Liverpool’s 5th signing of the summer after they finalize deal for Belgium starlet Origi, Lazar Markovic could become a Liverpool player as early as next week irrespective of what happens in the Suarez saga. Markovic who was on the Chelsea and Inter Milan before have been tracked down by Liverpool now for some time, and therefore he can become the marquee signing of this transfer window.
