Arsenal
were strongly targeting Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema since April, but
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has clearly said that he will not sell
any of his star players.
Arsenal who were close in signing Morata in the last transfer window have to look for other options
now.
For Benzema, why would he leave Madrid where he is playing regularly plus winning
trophies, recently won a Champions League trophy.
Perez
said in an interview that presidents of every clubs are his friends, they call
him when they need a player, but right now Madrid can’t sell any of their key
player like Benzema. But this is football, anything is possible like Madrid
told last year that Mesut Ozil is not for sale and in the end Arsenal bought
him.
While
Perez made it clear on Iker Casillas that the Spaniard is going nowhere.
The
veteran struggled since 2013 to get the starting line-up especially in La Liga
due to which many of Madrid fans thought the player would be leaving this summer.
But the Perez has confirmed that this was not his last year, he will stay. The
goalkeeper was linked to a move to Arsenal back in January.
Perez
said, “I do not think the final in Lisbon was his last match as a Real player.”
