Madrid and Gunners have agreed on Morata. Arsenal need a striker that can support Giroud. The 21 year old will be moving to England in January to play his second half of this season away from home.

Reports suggesting that Arsenal have agreed to sign Alvaro Morata on loan for the second half of the season from Real Madrid.

Arsenal has only one good striker in their squad. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been eyeing a striker that can provide back-up for his French striker Olivier Giroud.

Morata is not a regular for La Liga side as there is a lot of competition. The Spaniard has started only one game with the Los Blancos and is finding first team football to boost his chances of making the Spain squad for the World Cup next year in Brazil.

The 21 year old has scored 45 goals in 83 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla (also known as Real Madrid B) in three seasons, but he could not apply that scoring ability for the first team due to the less time on the field. He has only scored 4 goals in 30 appearances for Madrid.
This season, Morata has appeared nine times for Madrid, scoring two goals.

The Spanish striker is consistent for the Under-21 side, he has netted 11 goals in 12 matches for them. He is considered as one of the greatest young talent in Spanish football.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs were also interested in him and tried to include him in Gareth Bale’s deal but failed to bring Morata to England as Real Madrid said that he is going nowhere.

Morata is a good player, young and talented, he is good in air and can hold the ball plus he has a clinical finishing touch. His playing style is similar to the former Real Madrid and Spain striker Fernando Morientes.
