Portuguese
giants Porto have completed the signing of Southampton attacker Dani Osvaldo,
according to the reports from SkySports.
Dani
Osvaldo who was released by Southampton earlier this summer has now signed a
long term deal for the Portuguese outfit.
The
Argentine striker joined the Saints from Roma for a fee around £14.6 million
two years ago. However, he failed to shine in the Premier League and was later
loaned to Italian giants Juventus where he also struggled for games.
The
29-year-old also moved to Inter Milan last summer on loan and then he joined
his country club Boca Juniors earlier this year.
Porto
officially announced his signature on twitter as they tweeted that: Welcome
Osvaldo with the picture holding the new number ten jersey.
Osvaldo
has now joined 12th club in his entire career. He began with Argentinean club Huracan.
He
has played for Serie A side Atalanta, Inter Milan, Juventus, Fiorentina and
Bologna while he also had a loan spell in La Liga with Espanyol. This will be
his first Portuguese club.
The
club is expecting big from their new signing as they awarded him the ten jersey
which means that he will be going directly in the first team line up.
