Daily
Star has reported that Manchester United and Arsenal target Mats Hummels is
likely to leave the Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
Manchester
United boss Louis van Gaal is keeping close tabs on the player since last
summer. While on the other hand Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also said to be a
big admirer of the German star.
However,
Wenger has already bought a defender Gabriel Paulista in the winter window but
are still eyeing another centre-back who could replace Per Mertesacker.
Both
the Premier League outfits are eyeing a central defender for a summer move and
are likely to fight for Mats Hummels who will prefer a move to United over
Arsenal as per the reports.
Dortmund
have been struggling this season in the league, their recent form has just
taken them out of the relegation zone. They are currently on 10th spot in the league table.
Dortmund
have no plans to sell their star defender but if the right offer comes then they
will have to sell him as the player has also expressed his desire to leave
Germany. The Bundesliga outfit are hoping a £36million deal for their
centre-half.
The
26-year-old has started only 16 Bundesliga games due to injury so far this term.
