No New signings: ED Woodward silences
the call for new signings amid injury nightmare!
When
Michael Carrick suffered during the International break which was coupled with
Daley Blind injury also on National Guard, there have been murmurs in the
Manchester United fan base that their owners might be forced to spend again
after some heavy spending in January. However as it turned out to be,
Manchester United owners are resistant to an idea involving money transfer in
winter transfer window.
Manchester
United spent more than £200million in transfers this summer but there was still
a need of a good center back couple with a defensive midfielder. However, Ed Woodward
the Executive Vice Chairman has claimed that the probability of new signings is
very low.
Manchester
United who are sitting 7th in the Premier League table, just 2 points from the much
enamored 4th spot, were linked with several players after the
transfer window was shut. Top of the list were the players like Gareth Bale and Arturo Vidal
both of which were linked outrageously with the Red Devils. Defenders like Matt
Hummels were also rumoured to be on Van Gaal wish-list but recent claims by
their Vice Chairman has quashed those rumours.
Manchester
United fans won’t be happy as they wanted some short term replacements to
players going on the sidelines however Woodward, in a clear language, has
rubbished those claims and stated that they are looking for the players who will
be available for solving their long term duties. And as the probability of
these new players coming in January is very low, they might be keeping their
bank account intact.
lol lvg were eyeing hummels :D :D
