Wilfried
Bony has been in continuous link since the summer with numerous big Premier
League clubs including Tottenham Hotspurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.
The
Ivory Coast international has signed a one-year contract extension which will
keep him in the Premier League until 2018.
Swansea
Boss told that signing a contract will never stop the speculation of Bony. Penning
a new deal has just committed him with the club and its supporters. Currently,
he is happy with the Welsh club and has no plans to leave.
Bony’s
impressive last season caught many clubs’ eye and has been in link throughout the
summer. Arsenal and Liverpool were strongly linked but both later signed Danny
Welbeck and Mario Balotelli, respectively.
Bony
joined Swansea from Dutch club Vitesse for a club record fee of £12million last year, since then he scored 25 goals in 48 appearances. This season he has 4 goals to his name in nine Premier League games so far.
Monk
further added regarding Bony's future that if Bony leaves then it will be a big disappointment.
