Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Jack Wilshere has finally
returned to full fitness but remains uncertain for the coming FA Cup game against
Reading.
Wilshere
who suffered an ankle injury back in November has returned to full fitness but
is unlikely to be involved in the semifinal of FA Cup which will be played
tomorrow.
Wilshere
has played few games in the recent weeks for the under 21 side and is hoping
for a return soon to first team.
Wenger told: “He
has improved physically and I think he is available for selection on Saturday.”
While Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be seen away from field for another
month with his groin injury as reports reveal that his injury could take him out
for the remainder of the season.
Skipper
Mikel Arteta who also returned few weeks ago is regaining his fitness and is
likely not to be rushed for this game.
The
French boss also confirmed that Wojciech Szczesny will start this game ahead
of David Ospina.
“It
will be Szczesny [who plays] on Saturday.”
Szczesny
has lost his place in the Premier League but his impressive performances in the
cup could give him another chance in the Premier League this season. Six
matches are still left to be played.
