Premier
League side Liverpool are planning to seal the deal of Roma midfielder Radja
Nainggolan, according to Tutto Mercato.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing him to sign after the end of the season as the player is currently happy in Italy.
The Reds who finished second last season are looking to bolster their squad with the signature
of Nainggolan.
However,
Serie A outfit Roma will not let him go easily as they are also set to lose
midfielder Kevin Strootman to Manchester United.
Reports
are claiming that the Belgium international would cost around €15million which
Liverpool boss Rodgers has already planned.
Liverpool
are also ready to pay him more than €1.4million per year which he is currently
earning in Italy.
The
26-year-old joined Roma on loan in January and later in the summer he was signed
on a €9million permanent deal from Cagliari. He has been impressive since his
move, he has scored three goals in 16 Serie A appearances so far this term.
Liverpool
have not signed any midfielder who can replace legend Steven Gerrard. The
Englishman is now 34-year-old and is nearing his ending days. He has already retired
from international football and in two to three years he might be announcing
his retirement from club football too.
