Arsenal completed their fifth summer singing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United for a fee around £15million on the Transfer Deadline Day.

Arsenal were strongly linked with Mario Balotelli throughout this summer before his move to Liverpool from AC Milan. Liverpool completed Balotelli’s singing few weeks ago for a fee around £16million which seems one of the best bargain of this summer’s transfer window.
With French striker Olivier Giroud out injured till the New Year Danny Welbeck will surely be the lone striker for Arsenal. Yaya Sanoga and Joel Campbell are not ready for the first team action yet in the top competitions.

Comparing both the talents Balotelli and Welbeck, it is difficult to judge who is better. Balotelli netted 30 goals in 80 appearances for Manchester City in his three years of stay before moving to Italy while Welbeck who was a product of Manchester United academy scored 29 goals in 142 appearances.
Apart from Balotelli’s behavioural issues, he is an influential player who can take a team to a different level. While Welbeck has not done something big yet but still he is 23 and it’s a long way to go. Welbeck can shine at Arsenal if Wenger uses him in a right way.
With almost the same price tag, Balotelli is far better but no one knows who will become a better with time.
