Lyon
president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed today that he will keep Alexandre
Lacazette this summer if Arsenal fail to meet his demand.
The
Gunners have been in continuous link with the French side over the possible
summer move for their star striker, they have been planning to splash around
£30million for the Frenchman.
La
Liga side Atletico Madrid were also keeping tabs on him but due to transfer
ban, they had to take a step back from the race.
Jean-Michel
Aulas told L'Equipe that it is unlikely that Lacazette will end up at
Emirates Stadium this summer, he even suggested Atletico to reconsider their
offer once there ban is lifted.
Meanwhile, reports also suggest that Lyon are planning to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, and could allow the
North London side to include him in Lacazette deal.
Lacazette
has been exceptional for Lyon for the past few seasons, he has attracted many
big names over the past few years but never finalized a deal.
The
26-year-old has netted 129 goals in 275 games for the Ligue 1 side since his
debut in 2009-2010 season.
