Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger is keeping tabs on Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez,
according to SkySports.
Arsene
Wenger who has signed two year contract extension at the Emirates Stadium is
looking to strengthen his side for next season.
The
news have already revealed that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil could be leaving
the club this summer and Arsenal will have to find their replacement. Sanchez has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, however, Wenger is confident that
both will stay. Also,
with no Champions League for the Gunners next season they will not be
attracting big names.
Mahrez
was also linked with Gunners last year when he lifted the Premier League title.
The Egypt international is keen to leave the club as he asked the club officials to
let him leave this summer.
The
25-year-old bagged 17 goals in the title winning season and also won the Player
of the year award, he netted only 6 goals this season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Mahrez situation, and they are likely to launch an offer if they fail to land Mohamed Salah from Roma. Their recent bid around £35million has been rejected as per the reports.
