Michael
Carrick has penned a new one year contract extension at Manchester United,
according to SkySports.
Manchester
United veteran midfielder Michael Carrick will now be staying for another
season as he penned one year deal at the Old Trafford side.
The
25-year-old who joined the Red Devils from Tottenham in 2006 will be spending
his 12th year at the club.
Carrick
has been a vital part for Manchester United, he has made 459 appearances for Untied in all campaigns. Also, he has been able to continue adding trophies to
his name, recently added League Cup and Europa League. Apart from that he has already won several Premier League titles, FA Cup, and Champions
League.
Carrick
would have been a free agent in the summer if he had not received a contract extension.
Manchester United finished sixth in the league, but with the help of Europa League trophy
they will be taking part in Champions League next season.
Carrick
would be playing his testimonial match next Sunday, he told that the match would
make him and his family proud.

Jose Mourinho has also admired the Englishman, he told that he enjoyed working
