Manchester
City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that duo stars Sergio Aguero and Vincent
Kompany will stay at the club, according to SkySports.
The Citizens who finish the Premier League on third spot in Pep Guardiola’s first season at the Etihad Stadium are expected to keep their star players despite of strong rumours in the recent weeks.
The
speculations have linked Aguero with many other top clubs including Real Madrid
but the Spanish boss is confident that the Argentine striker will stay.
Aguero
was exceptional once again for Man City, he netted 33 goals in 44 appearances
in all campaigns this season.
Meanwhile,
skipper Kompany who missed out most part of the season through injury is likely
to regain his form next season. The
Belgian started only 10 Premier League games this term.
Guardiola
is confident that City can finish better in the league next season, there were
few ups and down this season, however, he believes that he would be better next season.
The
Citizens have not yet revealed their summer transfer targets but they do have been keeping an
eye on several players including Manchester United's target Neymar.
Furthermore,
Yaya Toure is expected to leave this summer, China is likely to be his next
destination.
