Russian
giants Zenit St Petersburg have completed the signing of defender Branislav
Ivanovic from Chelsea, according to club official website.
Ivanovic
has reportedly penned a two and a half year deal at the Russian side. The Serbian
is very happy to seal this deal as he said:
“I
am motivated and I think that I can play for many more seasons at the top level”
The
versatile defender has moved on a free transfer as he was out of contract at
the English giants.

The
32-year-old joined Chelsea from Lokomotiv Moscow nine years ago, he made more
than 350 appearances during his spell.
Ivanovic
made 16 appearances this season under boss Antonio Conte. His last appearance and
last goal for Chelsea was in a FA Cup game against Brentford.
He
scored total of 34 goals for the Blues, also won every trophy, 2 Premier League trophies, 3 FA Cups, a League Cup, Europa and Champions League trophies.
The
center-back will be eyeing to help his new club to win the league, currently
they are five points behind league leaders Spartak Moscow.
