Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has signed a long term contract extension at the Spanish side, according to official club reports.
The
club officially announced recently that Luka Modric has penned a four-year
contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2020.
The
midfielder who joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur four years ago has
been an exceptional player for them, especially in the Champions League campaign.
The
31-year-old has netted 11 vital goals in 180 appearances for the Los Blancos in
all campaigns. Furthermore, has has won two Champions League titles in the
recent years.

Despite
of tough competition in the midfield, Modric has cemented his place in Zinedine
Zidane’s squad.
German midfielder Toni
Kroos also recently penned a long-term deal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale
both are in line for another bumper contract.
As
per Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague, Ronaldo’s contract
is ready but not yet offered, may be in the next week the La Liga giants are
likely to announce.
Real Madrid are currently on second spot in the La Liga table this season, they
recently won a Champions League group game against Legia Warsaw by five goals
to one.
