Sunderland
have signed former Everton striker Victor Anichebe on a one year deal,
according to SkySports.
The
Black Cats have completed the signing of Anichebe on a free deal as the striker
was out of contract.

Anichebe
has already played under Sunderland new boss David Moyes at Goodison Park. The former
Everton manager has reunited with him and has some plans for the striker.
The
28-year-old was at West Brom last season but failed to get a new deal and was
released by the club. He netted nine goals in 63 games for the Baggies.

While
Sunderland are already suffering with injury problems with Fabio Borini already
out for three weeks with a ground injury. Moyes gets the quick solution by
signing his former striker.
Anichebe
will be joining strikers Jermain Defoe and Duncan Watmore at the Stadium of Light.
The
Nigeria international is very happy to pen a new deal at Sunderland, he told
that he is very happy and has got some great friends, also he also knows the
boss very well.
Anichebe
was eyed by several sides including some Spanish sides but the player revealed
that he wanted to stay in the Premier League plus it was easy for Moyes to keep
him.
