Manchester
City have announced the signing of John Stones from Everton on a £47.5million
deal, as per latest reports.

Man
City have been keen to sign John Stones since the start of the summer but the
demanding price from Everton hold the deal. However, Man City paid the asking price.

The
Citizens have signed him for £47.5million on a six year deal and the total
transfer fee could increase to £50million with add-ons. This would make him the
most expensive defender in the history of football. He will share the record
with current record holder David Luiz who moved to Paris Saint Germain for the
same price few years ago.
City
have given a rest to all the players today, so Stone will not be meeting his
new teammates today.

deal will also benefit Barnsley, the club from where Everton signed Stones.
