Middlesbrough
are keen to sign Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo on a season long loan deal,
according to SkySports.
Newly
promoted side are keen to sign former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo,
as per latest reports.
La Liga side Valencia have planned to offload their striker and the reports confirm
that he will be flying for the medical ahead of the loan deal.
Both
the sides are currently in discussions and this deal could have an option to
buy Negredo on permanent basis next season.
Negredo
failed to shine at Valencia, he netted 10 goals in 55 games for them in
last two seasons.
The
30-year-old spent a season at Manchester City in which he netted only nine goals in
32 Premier League games.
Boro
have already signed Victor Valdes who was out of contract at Manchester United.
They are also keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic who is
also set to travel to England for discussions. Reports believe that the Serbian
will cost around £8million.
Boro
boss Aitor Karanka is keen to bolster his side, he is going for top class
players and is eyeing for a wonderful coming season which starts next month.
