Julian
Draxler is likely to stay at Wolfsburg this summer, according to the German
club sporting
director Klaus Allofs.
The
German forward has been linked with a move away from Wolfsburg for the past
several months.
But
Allofs confirmed that Draxler will stay but former Chelsea forward Andre
Schurrle is likely to leave the club.
The
club want Schurrle to stay but the German forward is keen to switch his side after
seeing interest from Borussia Dortmund.
Allofs
told German website Sport1: “With Julian Draxler it will be 100 per cent
like this.”
Draxler
who was part of Germany squad in Euro 2016 has been eyed by several top sides including
Premier League giants.
The
22-year-old joined Wolfsburg last summer from Schalke, he has spent only a
season. While Schurrle joined the same year but in the winter window.
Draxler
has been in great form for the past few years. He scored 30 goals in 170 games
during his six years at Schalke while here at Wolfsburg he has netted 9 goals
in 34 games in all campaigns.
Draxler has been eyed by Premier League duo Manchester United, Arsenal and German giants Bayern Munich.
