Manchester
United veteran midfielder Michael Carrick has signed a one year contract
extension, according to club’s official website.
Manchester United officially announced that they are delighted to seal Michael Carrick's deal which will keep him until next year’s summer.

The
34-year-old midfielder has now entered 11th year of his Man United career. The
Englishman joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur back in summer 2006.
Carrick
has won five Premier League titles, an FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Champions
League during his time at Old Trafford.
He
told the club’s website after the deal that this club has been an important part
of his life for the past decade, he is extremely happy for this deal.
Carrick
is also happy because of getting a chance to play under Jose Mourinho who
recently replaced Louis van Gaal as United’s manager.
The
Portuguese boss has already signed his first summer signing of defender Eric
Bailly from Villarreal yesterday.
The
boss admired Carrick by saying him an intelligent midfielder and a great reader
of the game.
Carrick
might not be a regular for the Red Devils but he will certainly be an important
part of team.
