The
reports have claimed that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keeping strong tabs on
the defensive midfielder for the past few weeks.
The
Dutchman joined the club in 2014 after his impressive performance in the World
Cup.
Blind
played as the central defender for the major part of last season but new boss
Jose Mourinho is looking to bring a new center-half.
Blind
is still in doubts about his United’s future as Mourinho has not discussed with
him about the future.
Despite
of playing a fine role at the center-back the Portuguese boss believes that he
is too small for that role.
Blind
told NOS:
“I
am looking forward to working with Mourinho. We will have to wait and see
whether anything changes for me.”
The
26-year-old told that despite of not big as Pepe he showed enough last season
in the Premier League.
While Arsenal
are looking to bolster their defensive areas and with the addition of Blind
they can have a good defensive line next season.
Blind
has made 85 appearances for the Red Devils since his £16million move from Ajax
two years ago.
Wenger
has targeted several defenders for the summer move but is yet to seal any deal and
now he has added Blind to that list.
