Arsenal
are now set to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani for a fee around £25million,
according to latest reports.
The Gunners who were keen to sign Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy have now
changed their mind and have diverted their attention towards the Portuguese
league star player who has been on radar for the last few days.
Vardy
is now likely to stay at the King Power Stadium, according to Arsenal boss
Arsene Wenger.
The
Foxes were also targeting Slimani as a replacement of Vardy in the last few
weeks but now with Vardy set to stay, the Premier League Champions will not be going
for Slimani deal.

Minuto, Arsenal has made several bids for the Algerian in the past but
the Portuguese side have rejected, the reports claimed that they want atleast
£25million for their star man.
The
28-year-old has netted 31 goals in 46 games for Sporting Lisbon last season.
Sporting
Lisbon manager Jorge Jesus believes that Slimani will be a great hit in the
Premier Leaguea despite of being 28-year-old.
Meanwhile,
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is also keeping tabs on the player’s situation.
