Chelsea center-back Kurt Zouma has picked up an injury which will keep him away from pitch for the next six months, according to Chelsea medical team.

The
French defender suffered a knee ligament in the last game against Manchester United and the reports from London earlier today has confirmed that he will be
missing the remainder of the season.

The
youngster has been a regular player for the Blues and was likely to get a call
from France national team for the coming European Championship this summer but
this injury has lessened his chances for the Euro 2016.
European
Championship 2016 which will start on 10 June in France.
The
21-year-old has started 21 Premier League games so far this term.
Zouma
confirmed via Twitter that the medical team has revealed that he will need
six months to recover from this injury. He will be undergoing a surgery in the
next few days.
Meanwhile,
this injury could be opening door for the newly signed American defender Matt
Miazga.
Miazga
singed last month from MLS side New York Red Bulls and is yet to make a debut
for the London side.
