Manchester
United boss Louis van Gaal has given injury updates on the following players
ahead of FA Cup game against Derby County tonight.
The
Red Devils will visit Derby for the fourth round of FA Cup game against Derby County.
LVG
revealed that midfielder Michael Carrick is back from him injury and would be featuring
in this game.
The
32-year-old Englishman has been out since the first week of January. The last
game he played was against Swansea in which he featured for only two minutes.
Meanwhile,
Bastian Schweinsteiger and Phil Jones remain a doubt, as per the boss.
The
Dutchman revealed in the press conference that Schweinsteiger and Jones could still be on the sideline. Even if they return LVG would not give them a chance in this game as he fears further injury problems.
While
full-back Matteo Darmian is confirmed to miss this game. The summer signing picked up the injury last week and could be missing further few games.
United will play Stoke City in a Premier League game on Tuesday and the boss is expected to rest several of first team players. Carrick could be wearing the Captain’s arm band if he starts this game.
