Chelsea
midfielder Ramires has penned a new long term deal at Chelsea, according to Chelsea
official site.
The
Brazilian who has been one of the top star so far for Chelsea has signed a new
long term contract extension despite of the team performance this season.
Chelsea
have been struggling since the start of the season and are currently just a
point away from the relegation zone. However, the former star Benfica star is
very happy at Stamford Bridge and has no plans to leave the London side in the
near future.
Ramires
told chelseafc.com that “this is new home” and he is very
happy to be the part of one of the best club.
The
deal was agreed few days ago but now it has been revealed that he has signed a
new deal which will keep him until 2019.
The
28-year-old has netted 37 goals in 240 appearances for the Premier League since
his move from Portuguese side Benfica in 2010. He has won Premier League,
Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup with Chelsea.
While,
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is set to quit to job as Owner Roman Roman
Abramovich is eyeing new person for the managerial role.
