Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger has given injury updates on the star players ahead of Derby
game against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The
Gunners will be hosting Spurs at Emirates Stadium this Sunday.
Duo
defenders Hector Bellerin and Laurent Koscielny are both among the ten first
team players who are all out through injury.
Majority
of these players have been on the sideline for the past couple of weeks. They were
not part of Champions League game against Bayern Munich last night.
Full-back
Bellerin picked up a groin injury against Swansea City last weekend and missed the
Champions League game in the midweek.
The
young Spanish defender is unlikely to return this weekend, he will take further
few weeks to recover completely from his groin injury.
While
center-back Koscielny has a minor hip injury and is expected to be back this
weekend.
Arsene
Wenger spoke after a thrashing defeat against Bayern Munich last night that
Bellerin is still not available for the Sunday’s Derby. However, Koscielny
could make a return.
Arsenal
conceded five goals yesterday in the absence of Koscielny and could further
face problems in the coming games.
Meanwhile,
Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky, David
Ospina and Mikel Arteta all remain out due to injury.
