Manchester
United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed the following updates on his squad
ahead of the big Premier League game against Liverpool this weekend at Old
Trafford.
Man United star midfielder Ander Herrera has returned to training in order to feature
tomorrow against the Reds.
The
Spaniard has been seen on the number 10 role this season but due to Michael
Carrick’s injury he is expected to drop to a deeper role.
Carrick
is currently suffering from a calf injury which he suffered during international
duty. However, the Englishman is fit to play but the reports have revealed that he is
unlikely to start this game.
While duo midfielders Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger could also start
in the midfield role which will keep Herrera in the attacking role.
Meanwhile, center-back
Phil Jones has also returned to training after recovering from his illness. But
it is expected that he would not be taking part in this game. Jones has not
played this season so far.
Both
the sides have same points, United are on fifth while Liverpool are on seventh
spot. A win for either of the side could take them to second spot, depending on
other fixtures’ results.
