Manchester
United star player David de Gea has signed a new long term deal, according to Manchester
United official website.
The
Spanish stopper who has been in linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer
window has been in discussions for the past few days.
Real
Madrid were keen to land him till the deadline day, however the deal fell
through as the transfer window got closed.
Yesterday
at United's Aon Training Ground, De Gea along with his family and agent were in
talks with manager Louis van Gaal and the club officials. Man United’s senior executive
Ed Woodward was not present. He returned earlier today and now the negotiations
have continued and later it was revealed that the goalkeeper has finally signed
the deal.
SkySports believe
that the new deal is same as of last season’s offer which was rejected by De
Gea. In addition, there could be a further big rise in his wage.
De
Gea has been a super star for the Red Devils for the past few years. Due to his
link with Real, he has not made any appearance so far this season. He
is expected to start his first game of the season against Liverpool which will
