Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the injury updates ahead of the Premier League
game against Stoke City this weekend at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners boss has admitted that English midfielder Jack Wilshere is out for
further few weeks with a new setback.
Wilshere
suffered a hairline fracture to his left fibula, however the medical team has
revealed that it is not serious but still he could not take part in the coming
few games.
Wenger
told: “He is progressing slowly.” The French manager believed that
the English midfielder will be back after the international break but he is now
going to miss few more weeks.
While
on the other hand, Danny Welbeck has been out since April with a knee injury.
Welbeck who had a surgery earlier this month is still on the sideline and the reports revealed that the former Manchester United striker is expected to be out until the Christmas.
While
former forward Paul Merson believes that Wenger knew that Welbeck will be going
to have a surgery and despite of it he did not sign a new striker. Merson claimed
that Wenger “cheated” the fans.
While
the only good news for the Gunners’ fan is duo center-back Per Mertesacker and Laurent
Koscielny have returned and will be taking part in Saturday’s Premier League
game against the Potters.
