Manchester
City struggling striker Edin Dzeko has completed his move to Serie A side Roma
on a one year loan deal.
The
Bosnia international forward who was signed from German club Wolfsburg in 2011
made 189 appearances in his four and a half year of stay at Etihad Stadium..
Dzeko
failed to make a name under boss Manuel Pellegrini last term. He scored only four goals
in 22 appearances in the Premier League.
Italian
giants Roma are very happy to secure his move, however it is a one year loan
deal but the contract has an option to extend his stay on permanent base.
Dzeko
said on the Roma website: “I came here to win titles with Roma.”
The
former Wolfsburg striker is very happy to be a part of Roma. He is eyeing to
win trophies for one of the best Italian club.
Dzeko
proved to be an important part for the Citizens. He scored a goal in the Premier
League final game against QPR few years ago which later saw Man City lifting
their Premier League trophy after 35 years.
The
29-year-old would have struggled if he had decided to stay at Etihad Stadium as Man City signed Wilfried Bony from Swansea City in last winter.
