side AS Monaco have confirmed the signature of attacker Stephan El Shaarawy
from Serie A side AC Milan on a one year loan deal.
Monaco
have announced the signing of Stephan El Shaarawy on a loan deal from AC Milan with
an option to buy him permanently next summer.
The
latest reports from SkySports revealed that the Italian who spent a struggling last
season at San Siro was already in search of a move. With Monaco sealing his deal
he would now be eyeing to prove himself in the Ligue One.
El
Shaarawy netted only three goals in his 19 games for Milan last term, however he missed the
rest due to injury problems.
With
now AC Milan have added Carlos Bacca to their squad which clearly hinted that
the Italian would have lessen his chances if he had stayed at San Siro.
The
22-year-old will be joining his new teammates on their preseason training tour
to St Vincent.
Monaco
finished on third spot last season and will be playing Champions League next season.
El
Shaarawy revealed his happiness on his move that he is very happy to be a part
of Monaco. He told Monaco’s website: “It's a great feeling to sign here in Monaco.
I am very happy and very moved.”
Meanwhile
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev added that they welcome their new boy Stephan
El Shaarawy.
“We are very proud to welcome Stephan El Shaarawy, whose arrival marks a highlight of our recruitment strategy.”
