Newcastle
United have signed midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum on a long term deal from PSV
Eindhoven, according to SkySports.
The
Premier League side have completed the £14.5million signing of Georginio
Wijnaldum from the Dutch side earlier today.

The
24-year-old midfielder was named the Dutch player of the year last season after
lifting the Eredivisie trophy.
Wijnaldum
was in a heavy link with the Magpies over the past few months. The transfer fee
has not been disclosed but Newcastle revealed that this is the third
highest transfer fee in their history. However, the reports believe that the fee
is around £14.5million.
The
Dutchman was who has capped 19 times for Netherlands was also the part of last
year’s World Cup.
The
Magpies have already several of Dutch players in their squad. Wijnaldum will be
joiinng his countrymen Tim Krul, Vurnon Anita, Daryl Janmaat and Siem de Jong.
Newcastle manager
Steve McClaren revealed that this is one of the biggest transfer for the club. Wijnaldum
is an attacking player he is skillful and also capable of scoring goals.
Wijnaldum scored 14 goals and assisted three in 32 starts in the Dutch league last term. He also made seven Europa League appearances.
