Bayern
Munich Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is keen to sign Juventus midfielder
Arturo Vidal, according to SkySports.
The
Chilean has been linked with a move away from the Serie A Champions this
summer. Premier League side Arsenal have been in strong links with him but
with the recent reports claim that the German giants are also keeping tabs on
him.
Vidal
netted seven goals and assisted four times in 28 appearances in the Serie A
last term.
The
Champions League silver medalist of last season Vidal is now expected to move
to the German giants as The Guardian revealed that the
Bundesliga Champions are preparing a bid around £28million for him.
Vidal
who also lifted the Copa America earlier this month would be welcomed as Bastian
Schweinsteiger’s replacement. The German recently join Manchester United after
serving Bayern for 17 years.
Rummenigge
told German media that he is hoping to sign Vidal.
“I
hope that Arturo Vidal will join us in the end.”
Reports
further revealed that the Italian side are also trying to sign Mario Gotze from
Bayern, however Rummenigge has clearly said that the German attacker would not
be included in this deal.
Meanwhile, Vidal has said in the past that he is keen to move as he is not happy in Turin despite of winning trophies and reaching the Champions League final last season.
