London
side Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of full-back Kieran Trippier from
Burnley, according to SkySports.
Kieran
Trippier has signed a five year deal at White Hart Lane and the fee has not
been disclosed.
Burnley
got relegated last season and are back in the Championship. Several of star players
are going to leave them. Danny Ings has already agreed to join Liverpool while Trippier is the recent player who will remain a part of Premier League.
Present Spurs full-back Kyle Walker will now be facing a tough competitions from Trippier
for the right-back role.
Trippier
said that there was no reason to reject Spurs. It is a big club and he cannot
wait to play for them.
“When
I first heard that the club was interested I didn’t have to think twice.”
Trippier
becomes the second summer signing for the London side, first was Kevin Wimmer
from 1. FC Köln.
Spurs
have sealed two deals and both are defenders, now they will be focusing on midfielders
and strikers.
Recent
reports revealed that Paris Saint Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot is set to leave
the club who has been strongly targeted by Spurs.
