Liverpool
are targeting Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca for the summer move, as
per Daily
Mirror.
The
Reds have been searching for a fine strike who can solve their last season’s
goal scoring problem.
Bacca
spent a wonderful last seasons at Sevilla, netting 28 goals in all campaigns
for the Spanish side.
The
28-year-old who is currently with his national side Colombia at the Copa
America has a £21.5million release clause on his current contract.
Liverpool are not the only side who are keeping tabs on Bacca, Tottenham and Serie A side
AS Roma are also said to be interested in his move.
Sevilla
sporting director Monchi said: “We have no intention of selling him.”
Monchi further added: “If
someone wants Bacca, they have to pay his clause. He’s told us that it’s his
desire to stay with the club and I don’t see any other possibility.”
While
Liverpool who have also targeted Aston Villa star Christian Benteke will have
to pay £32.5million for the Belgian. The Villains have no plans to sell him for
less than £32.5m.
Liverpool
recently completed their fourth summer singing of Joe Gomez from Charlton Athletic.
