Arsenal
won the FA Cup for the 12th time in the history of football with a trashing
victory over Aston Villa earlier today.
Arsenal won by four goals to nil thanks to Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Per
Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud who all scored the goals.
Below are the player ratings of the
Gunners’ players who featured in this game.
STARTING ELEVEN
Wojciech Szczęsny – 7.5
Polish
stopper ended his season on high with a fine performance today against the
Villains. However, he was not tested enough.
Héctor Bellerín – 8
The
young spanaird offered great support to Aaron Ramsey who was playing at the
right side of attack. He also did his defensive duty by marking Kieran
Richardson.
Per Mertesacker – 9 .5
An
excellent performance from the German center-back, he controlled Christian
Benteke throughout the game and scored a goal from header.
Laurent Koscielny – 8.5
The
Frenchman prevented Szczęsny from the opponents' shots. He also had two efforts
on goal from head.
Nacho Monreal – 7
Was not on top defensively but did fine in attacking
areas.
Francis Coquelin – 7
Coquelin
had little to do but he did well when he had the ball. He did his fine
interceptions perfectly in the midfield.
Santi Cazorla – 9
The
Spanish star rises again after some of average performances in the last few
games. He made touches more than any other player on the field and also
assisted a goal.
Aaron Ramsey – 7.5
Missed
a good chance when the score was 0 – 0. He had only two shots on goal.
Mesut Özil – 9
Was
very quiet in the start but slowly was back on track and created several
chances for his teammates.
Alexis Sánchez – 9
The
Chilean looked sharp as always. His hard work gave him a reward in the shape of
a goal and an assist. Created couple of opportunities for Theo Walcott.
Theo Walcott – 7
Scored
the opening goal of the game but was not upto his mark. Missed few good chances
which would have been converted into goals.
SUBSTITUTES
Olivier Giroud
Played
only 14 minutes but it was enough for the Frenchman to add a goal for the team.
Jack Wilshere
The
English midfielder also played 14 minutes. It was his first FA Cup appearances
of the season.

Just
play a minute and experienced the FA Cup final atmosphere.
