Chelsea
are set to beat Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United for Inter Milan
striker Mauro Icardi, according to Metro.
The
London side are finally losing on a deal as the reports claim that the representatives
are in Italy for the potential move of the goal machine.
The
22-year-old highly rated forward has netted 21 goals in 44 games for the Italian
side so far this term. He has been link with several top European sides.
The
Argentinian has three years left on his current Inter Milan contract but his
performances this season are likely to make him move to a better European club.
Chelsea
are well aware of their next season striking issues, Didier Drogba will
retire at the end of the season and Loic Remy will leave Stamford Bridge. While Diego
Costa will remain the only senior forward at Stamford Bridge. Boss Jose
Mourinho is keen to strengthen his side further with the signature of young
Icardi.
The
Blues are planning to beat Arsenal and Manchester United by splashing £22million
on the 22-year-old striker.
However,
Icardi might not get a regular chance at the Blues especially due to the presence
of Diego Costa. But the striker will still be keen on a move.
