Barcelona
have entered the race to sign one of Europe’s hottest prospects, Paul Pogba
should he decide to leave or be sold by Juventus.
Barcelona’s
Sporting Director Ariedo Braida has openly said he has spoken to his opposite
number Giuseppe Marotta about Pogba.
Pogba
a rising star in the game and has been linked with a move away from the Old
Lady.
Juventus
may even be forced to sell Pogba due to their financial constraints. With the
Frenchmen valued upwards of €50 million, a serious offer may be too good for
the Serie A side to turn down.
He
has been linked with a move back to Manchester, but having left on sour terms
he may not be keen on a return.
The
22-year-old was once on the books at Manchester United but let his contract run
down and joined the Italian side after not getting enough game time at Old
Trafford.
French
champions PSG have also been linked with securing the services of Pogba, with
money no option they could price their competition out the market.
With
Barcelona’s ban running throughout the year of 2015, they will not be able to
make any transfers in the coming summer window.
Braida will hope Marotta will hold onto Pogba for at least the summer whilst Barcelona see out their ban.
