Manchester
United are set to seal the deal for Barcelona full-back Dani Alves according to
Spanish reports.
The
Catalan newspaper Sport revealed earlier today that the Premier League club who
have been eyeing the Brazilian for the past several months are now set to complete the deal.
Alves
who has made his mind to leave the club this summer on a free transfer is ready
to team up with former team mate Victor Valdes. The
right-back who has helped his side to reach the finals of Champions League yesterday
is keen to play in the Premier League.
The
23-year-old will become free agent at the end of the season as his contract
expires this summer. He has already denied to agree a new contract at Camp Nou.
While, the Telegraph reported that even if United sign Alves they will still try for Southampton full-back Nathaniel
Clyne.
According
to Sport Alves will sign next week. Man Utd will offer him a better contract
than Barca as per further reports.
Meanwhile,
Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani is also on Louis van Gaal’s radar.
The center-forward is not happy in France with his playing position. He is also
been eyed by Liverpool and Arsenal.
