Arsenal player Lukas Podolski is set to have a medical next week for the Turkish
giants Galatasaray, as per the Times.
Arsenal forward Podolski has been on a six month loan at Serie A side Inter Milan but failed to impress at San Siro. Inter boss Robert Mancini was once planning to sign him permanently this summer but the Italian boss has no plans now as he eyes several other players.
Podolski has scored only a goal for Inter so far.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger has already told Podolski that there is no place for him in
the starting eleven and can look for a club. The World Cup winner is keen to
play football regularly and the Turkish side can offer him easily.
Galatasaray
are planning for a £9million deal for him.
Podolski
told that he is currently under contract with Arsenal. He still has a year left
on his Gunners’ contract. However, there are several clubs who are eyeing him.
The
29-year-old came to London in 2012 for his Arsenal’s move. He has scored 19
goals in 60 Premier League games for the Gunners.
The
German star who has played more than 120 games for his country will soon be entering the ending days at Emirates Stadium once he returns from San Siro.Columnist: Simon Oates
