Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, or as we all know him popularly in the footballing world as “Ronaldinho”. Apart from the Brazil Legend showing off his amazing samba moves on the field. He is also known to dazzle with his feet. His dribbling moves on the field or as smooth as silk. The way he goes past opposition with ease. Before your Messi’s and Ronaldo’s there was Ronaldinho, or as I like to call him the “Godfather” of trickery. Most of you may not agree to this statement but Ronaldinho is truly a footballing genius. The stuff that he could do with a football was jaw dropping at times. He has the ability to pass the ball without even looking. He is in fact known for the famous no-look passes. Many have tried that move but no one has come close to mastering it.
Like
they say, some people are born with talent and this man truly has it. His
Dribbling skills are as smooth as butter. The way I see Ronaldinho, is that he
is a painter and the Football pitch is his canvas and his legs are the paint
brushes which paints beautiful designs on the canvas.
We
all know that Brazil as a country have produced talented footballers over the
years, But with all the talent in that footballing city, Ronaldinho just stood
out to be more special than the other talents. He was destined for greatness.
He
has won it all, be it internationally and domestically, but those trophies do
not make him a special footballer, it’s his raw talent and passion for the game
that has made him truly talented. His technique is flawless, very few players
in the world have a flawless technique.
He
is arguably one of the best football playing free stylers ever. With so much
success in his trophy laden career, he has never forgotten his humble roots and
that’s the mark of a great player. To have qualities which makes you respected
by the greats in the footballing world is truly a great complement to the
Brazil superstar. Ronaldinho has always had that beaming smile on his face,
just goes to show you how much he enjoys playing this beautiful sport.

Mediocrity
is a disease. There are some people who choose to remain mediocre for the rest
of their lives, and there are others who like to challenge themselves and push
themselves to do more and Ronaldinho is certainly one of those people who likes
to push the boundaries.
For
Ronaldinho to be in FIFA 100 top living greatest players ever, which was
compiled by another Brazil legend, the man himself Pele is truly a great
complement to the Brazil superstar. In all honesty the Brazil team in 2002,
arguably the best team in the past 20 years and rightly so with players like
Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Rivaldo and many other greats. It was
disappointing not to see Ronaldinho selected by Brazil to play at the FIFA
World cup in Brazil in 2014. It would have been a fitting way to bow out of his
magnificent International career in his home town.
Ronaldinho
has captured millions of hearts with his humility and talent. In today’s world
where people seem to focus on Ronaldo and Messi and their influence of the
beautiful sport, we must not forget about Ronaldinho and his contribution to
this sport and also providing opportunities for others through this beautiful
sport. He will always be one of those iconic players to have played this sport
and the Legend will never be forgotten.
