Chelsea
are targeting Manchester United on loan striker Radamel Falcao, according to
former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson.
SkySports pundit Paul Merson believes that the Blues are keeping tabs on the
Colombian striker and could seal the move for a fee around £15 million this
summer.
Merson
told Soccer Saturday: “He is a good player and I think he’ll get
fitter and fitter.”
Mersen
further added that Falcao is a great player and will return to his top form once
he is been given with a consistent run of games.
Liverpool
have also been targeting the flop Man Utd striker who is set to leave the club
this summer.

The
reports have also revealed that parent side Monaco are also not interested in
keeping him and will sell immediately after his return.
Mersen
feels that Chelsea don’t have a backup striker, if Diego Costa is injured or
suspended then they will need a second striker to come up. Currently,
Didier Drobga and Loic Remy are present but Drobga will retire at the end of
the season while Remy is likely to leave the club.
AS
Monaco who were demanding around £40 million have now lowered their price and will
listen to offers even in the range of £20 million.
