Arsenal
are set to fight Tottenham Hotspur for Espanyol defender Hector Moreno, as per
Metro reports.
The
Spanish outfit is reportedly looking to cash in by the sale of their star
centre-back who has been valued around €20million.

La
Liga side Sevilla are also said to be interested in his move, however, the
reports claim that the defender is likely to prefer a move to the Premier
League.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who is keen on the player has sent his scouts to keep an
eye on the Mexican. The French boss has been eyeing him for the past two season,
as per the reports.

Moreno
is reportedly eyeing a move to the Emirates Stadium which just leaves Arsenal
to agree the transfer fee with Espanyol.
The
27-year-old is not a regular player for the La Liga club, he has has made 15 appearances
for Espanyol so far this term.
The
Gunners signed Gabriel Paulista in the winter window and are now eyeing another
defender as Per Mertesacker’s replacement. The German is expected to leave the
club at the end of the season.
Reports have also linked the Gunners with Aymeric Laporte of Athletic Bilbao and Mats Hummels of Borussia Dortmund.
