Arsenal have reached an agreement with Southampton for their French star Morgan Schneiderlin, according to Daily Mirror.
Morgan Schneiderlin has been in continuous link with the north London side since last summer and is now finally set to seal Arsenal deal as Southampton are unlikely to get the Champions League spot.
The Frenchman who has also been targeted by several other sides is keen to play in the Champions League. He admitted in the winter window that he will not leave the Saints if they qualify for the Champions League spot. But now they are on seventh spot, eight points behind fourth spot side Manchester City. With only seven games left to be played in the Premier League, it is difficult for the Saints to get the UCL spot.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who is a big admirer of the midfielder can offer him Champions League.
The Metro also reported that both the sides have agreed a deal and after the end of the season, the player will fly for personal terms.
The deal agreed is around £15million.
Arsenal have already suffered a lot in the midfield, especially in the first half of the season. In the recent months, Santi Cazorla who is an attacking midfielder has been seen in a deeper role.
