The
Telegraph reported that Arsenal have finally agreed a deal to sign Sporting
Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho this summer.
The
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo confirmed
earlier today that the deal is likely to be sealed soon. O Jogo reported the deal is now on the cards.

The
Portuguese outfit demanded £30 million for their star midfielder last summer
but are now likely to agree on £21.5 million.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger is now closing on a deal and soon will reveal the agreement,
as per the O Jogo.
The
23-year-old has made 25 appearances in Portuguese league and six in Champions
League so far this term.
Arsenal
have been linked with several midfielders over the past few months, Southampton
Morgan Schneiderlin has been one of the top target.
Meanwhile,
Manchester City have entered the race to sign Valenciennes teenager Dayot
Upamecano.
The
16-year-old has been targeted by Arsenal and Manchester United. The Daily Mail
reported that he almost signed for the Gunners in the winter window.
French
outfits Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in his move.
