Premier League outfits Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a blow in
their chase for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann,
according to TalkSport.
Both
the London sides were keeping tabs on the highly rated midfielder but will now
have to search for other midfielders as the 24-year-old has sealed new long
term deal at Borussia Monchengladbach which will keep him until the summer of
2019.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping an eye on him since 2013 but never tried to
sign him.

Herrmann
has signed a new long term at the Bundesliga club and has ended all the rumours
linking him with a move away from his homeland.
The
German star has scored 13 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions so
far this season. He has helped his side to reach the top three in Bundesliga
with his eight league goals.
While
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was keen to bolster his midfield with
the addition of Herrmann at White Hart Lane.
The
24-year-old is currently waiting for a call from Germany national team. He is
yet to make a debut despite of playing at every junior level.
